helped a (65 year old) friend move and he gave me his grandfather's axe. a double bit in very good condition good bevels and no damage but rehandled improperly with a single bit handle. I can fit a proper straight db handle but I can't find any info except apparently Artisan was a store brand for Gamble's and probably made by someone else. Anybody know anything of these? age? quality? I don't plan to sell it but I'm also curious re value. I think it is probably cast vs forged but not sure as its pretty heavily painted.
Thanks!

I just found one too. Rusted to hell but in excellent condition underneath.
I'm also curious about our find.
