I was given an old Gerber folder that looks like the classic Buck folders, brass frame, rosewood insert, etc. It looks barely used, and took a very good edge with just s bit of light stoning and stropping. It does have a small bit of annoying play when the blade is locked. Is there any way to correct this in a knife that can't be disassembled (at least as far as I can see)? Thanks!

It sounds like a Gerber FS1 or 2 if the play is side to side it can be fixed, the methods are documented on the tube. Basically use small socket to encircle the pivot rivet, give it a gentle whack with a small hammer and see if the play goes away, if and when it does, use a center punch on the pivot rivet to hold it in place. Be gentle as it is hard to loosen if you make it too tight.
If the play is up and down I don't know what you can do.
