While going through my dad's things, I've come accross several old Gerber knives that are no longer in production. There's a Silver Knight, a fixed blade with scrimshaw handle, and lots of others that I haven't had time to look at. Do any of you people know anything about these? Possibly their value or when they stopped releasing them?
Thank You.

I think the late 70s, 80s, and early 90s. Not sure of their value.

I have several Silver Knights and 3 Brass Folders. Great knives of the time, particular the fit and finish of the brass folders. Gerber was a great company back then in my opinion.

yeah, the one that is grabbing me the most is the silver knight. The scales are either checkered micarta or some plastic. It also has the sword in the stone emblem on it.

I used to have an old Gerber Pixie with the cast handle and the bandsaw (L6?) blade. Great knife. You are lucky for find your treasure trove.

The older Silver Knights were superb examples of Gerber manufacturing process and QC, the fit and finish on the Silver Knights is tight look at how smooth the back spring is, and how the scales fit with no gaps.

These knives still bring between $10 and $60, actually I like collecting them because there was a nice attainable variety, MOP, Black Lip Pearl, Scimmed scales with different scenes.

The one you described is one of the more allusive ones, if you go to E Bay and do a search on Gerber Silver Knights usually between 5 and 10 show up at any given day, they're still out there and available, and in fact I carry the G-10 handled one myself as an EDC.

So enjoy your find and good luck.
