old german hunting knife

My father just gave me a old knife that belonged to my Greatgrandfather. It has a Bone handle engraved with a Deer on it. The blade has BARON, Solingen Germany on it. I have looked at a few pages on Solingen Knives. I don't see anything there with BARON markings on them. Any help will be greatly appreciated
 
I believe baron was an older company that had its knives made in Germany, not sure though. If I were you I would post this on levines forum, Im sure he would probably know.
