Hi everyone. This is an early 1900s Ed Wustof Solingen multi-tool. It's a real beauty. Everything, including the scissors, are still sharp and tight with great snap. It has 2 1/2 springs. Look at the nice milled liners. I hope you enjoy this one as much as I do.

Those milled liners just add that something extra that raises the cool factor. Good looking and versatile. Also handy to have if you wanted to cut some bread, cheese, and sausage, plus open a bottle of wine for a nice under the tree lunch. (Sheesh, now I'm getting a craving.)

Cool knife, S-K

That is one cool knife & I bet a Dollar to a Doughnut it cost a pretty penney in its day! Thanks for the great pics!

Super knife you have got there s~k!.. I love it!.. Here is one I have. A German Bartenders Knife with MOP scales from a little later last century.

That is sweet sunnyd. I have a dozen or so corkscrew knives. I collect antique corksrews and liked the knives so much that I started collecting them too. Have a great day.

s~k,
You must be an early riser, an insomniac or just plain up all night like me.. :) In any case, I would love to see, like I am sure others would too as well, see your corkscrew collection.. Bring it on!

Hi... I thought you were up rather early. It is mid morning here and I am working a home today. Just having a little coffee break. Will need to take some photos.

What a dope I am!:foot: I did not realize you were in the UK until right this moment.. Please forgive me. I won't forget that again..

Absolutely super incredible knife by the way!.:thumb up:

No problem and thanks for the positive feedback sunnyd. I think I'll start a corkscrew knife thread this weekend or is that what we have here?

Those are very nice examples. I love these old "multitool" (surely there must be a more elgant name for them). There is such a variety of tools and gadgets on some of them that it is really amazing. Collecting these things is a dangerous habit to get into.:D

Hi Shaldag thanks for the post. I agree about the name. Even multi-blade or combination knife doesn't quite capture the elegance. I think sunnyd appropriately named his a bartender's knife. Yes.. the more blades and attachments, the more likely I am to cut/stick myself  . I hate opening all of the blades on a congress at the same time for photo purposes.

I think a new thread is in order, s-k! Corkscrews and knives with corkscrews! I have a number to add!

Some real nice knives in this thread! This one has milled liners are both sides, the toothpick is made out of tortoise. Seems hard to find scissors on knives that still have the spring. The pins are a little different on this one.

How about those multi took knives with the ear spoons? They kinda creep me out!

You have got to post one of those, I have no idea what you are trying to describe and almost not sure if I want to know...

Sunburst,

They are little spoons that insert into a knife that people used to scoop wax out of their ears!. I don't have one; was never sure I wanted one.
