Hey fellas,
I have this old German, stag handle, gravity knife that I found in the back of the safe. I believe I traded into this knife some 20 twenty years ago at least!
The markings on the blade are: A mans head with Othello under it. Anton Wingen Jr. with Solingen, Germany underneath, Then BGM with Rostfrei underneath. Now the handle is stag with nickle silver front bolster, trap door, release lever and pins. It's in real nice shape, looks like it had been lightly carried with faint stone marks on the blade just in the right light. Has hairline crack at rear pin.
Ok, I've googled this stuff and came up with some info, but haven't nailed down this knife. Looking for alittle history, age, value. I plan on putting her up for sale in the exchange. Here are some pic's, I know there not the best but I tried. Any help would be much appreciated! You can post here, pm me or email me at ickkey@comcast.net
Thanks, John Z.
