Just realized that Ontario is making a 8 inch cooks knife. I like the look and want to get a few but i cant find any video reviews.

You know of any video reviews or good write ups.

Thanks.

You’ll simply need to do a You Tube search... a number of posts showing use outdoors..all are positive....

I just bought this knife about a month ago. It’s my go to kitchen knife now. Slicing and dicing are super easy with it and I’ve even learned to choke up on the blade for finer work of cutting out the white in bell peppers. It’s finally starting to get a patina on it but it’s light.

Had one of these since my grandpa died 9 years ago. Tried putting an edge on it a couple times but not matter what I do it never seems to take.

I excitedly picked up one as I love carbon steel in the kitchen, but was disappointed in the knives heal height. It's not tall enough to get your fingers around the handle and actually use on a cutting board without your fingers hitting the board before the heal of the blade does. The profile is just way to narrow compared to any cooks/chefs knife.

They are trying to sell their stainless chef knives, thats why (at a higher price but still very reasonable) :) I really like that these are 14c28n

I got a factory 2nd a month ago. Needed a new edge and the handle sanded. Once I did those, it's great in the kitchen. Sure, it won't hold it's edge as long as my custom kitchen knife in AEB-L, but it sure works!
