I modded an Old Hickory butcher knife a short while ago ( think i showed it in another thread ) but i've tinkered a bit more. I'm not very good at leatherwork but i have a go. I spilled some dye onto the leather just as i sneezed :-) so instead of wasting the leather i just made a blotchy red and brown one. Because of that i added some dark red to the burnt oak handle so it matched a little. I actually quite like it like this.

Waiting for two more Old Hickory knives i've ordered on line, then i have a couple more ideas for me to tinker with..

If anyone has an idea for a mod on one of these knives i'd love to here it.

Ed, thank you sir.
Eli, i've never used a clip point fixed blade before, so i could not say. I will say the blades by all accounts are very good, around 57ish hardness and 2mm thick. Hope you can judge by that mate. Ive only heard of these knives in the last few weeks during the lockdown.

THAT is one of the best Old Hick mod jobs I have seen. I could live with that blade shape quite happily.
