well here is were i am taking up a old hobby again..
i ordered this knife made for my brother Clinton Meier
it is the custom work of Leroy Remer...
custom designer's choice 112 Damascus blade,
nickel silver bolsters, real elephant ivory
and i did the scrimshaw on the handle ...
can any one figure out the meaning of the symbolism?
it looks good in the hand ! the camera shows every stinking error thing i did and don't want showing but it is good to see your errors...some times
he has carried it edc and used it some so the ink is not as black and even as when i did it...i told him to be care full as these things some times walk...





well should i continue trying scratching?:o ;)

ships at sea? !!!! Yep can do and have done several times ...!!!
Elvis and dogs not much diff there and no can do ...
brothers nick is cotton mouth from years ago
and his wife is Kathy Jo and they do blue's music and he plays a harmonica and is all wrapped up in his wife and music and will bite you if you mess with any ...
jest some of that native American stuff with symbols
was first time i tried scratching a snake...

Dave,

Trax is right.....you could do an Elvis and mount it on crushed velvet :D. You may get rich over night;). I bet trax will buy the first one:p. Nice work on the cotton mouth knife!!!!

Nice work there Dave! As you know, I'm very fond of ivory. Have you tried scratching a mermaid :cool: or are you just sticking with serpents & such :D
 
yea i want to do a mermaid alright but could not post here a topless girl ...
no if i did one it would not have sea shell cups!
have several practice designs to do ...
one would be the Wilhelm Tel ... now who knows that jeopardy question ?

as to the crushed velvet ... that will be in the next remodel of the display cases!!
Rich red stuff too!!!
have been on spree and wife jest cought me... so now have to do cases again...
