I have an "used and sharpened" knife in my collection.
The knife was made by Mr. Jess Horn in 1973 as one of the first MHS models.
It is an interesting piece...

Thanks. Beautiful and historically significant. I'm still looking for my first Jess Horn knife so i enjoy seeing any knife he has made and ultimately all those seen will help me decide when the right one for me becomes available.

Great history here. Thanks for taking the time to share it with us.

When I acquire a knife, it usually has some kind of history to it. It's those stories behind those knives
that has kept me collecting what I do for as long as I have.

Beautiful knife with an interesting history. Of course, your post begs the question--will you use it also?

Thank you for your comments.
I also do like to know the history of each knife.
For me, knife is not only the thing of skill but also the thing of enthusiasm, imagination, and memories.

Chris;
No, I will not use the knife...I want to keep the cutting edge which was sharpened by Mr. Loveless.
When I see the cutting edge, I imagine young Loveless is sharpening the knife...:)

That is an awesome story and some nice pics too. A knife that any collector would be proud to own.

When I see the knife, I feel like that it tells the story to me.

Is it the very knife mentioned in the "to the point" article written by Bob Loveless in the sept- oct 1974 'American Blade' ?

"Now I use a Little Horn, which I designed for Jess Horn to make. And let me tell you : I can do anything with that knife, from skinning critters to picking splinter. The Little Horn works."

Thanks for posting the pics and providing the history of that SWEET knife KYJ. It looks like it has lived a good life and will continue to do so! I like the engraving very much too.
