I’m looking for anyone who can give me information about an old John Primble India Steel knife with an awl. It is stamped with the patent number: 6-10-02. I’ve tried looking for it at the patent office, but to no avail. Does anyone have any information they would be willing to pass along?

Post this in the traditional section or Levine's section. We will need pictures. With that date, it could be the Harrison Punch, pat 701878 granted to Owen Harrison with New York Knife Company. If that is the correct punch patent, that particular knife was probably contract made by New York Knife Co.

Moving to Traditional.

Just agreeing with this, that date coincides with the Harrison expanded punch blade -
