Old Ka-Bar Question?

I was looking through some old knives of mine and decided to see if I can find out a little more information on one. I have and old Ka-Bar knife that was given to me by a family member. The knife is in pretty good shape for the apparent age, and the leather handle is intact and I think looks quite good. The front of the hand guard is marked Ka-Bar on one side, and USN MK2 on the other. The leather sheath is also stamped U.S.N. Just wondering what you all know about these and if they have any collector value.
