hi does any one know any thing about this knife???
The writing on the blade is extremely hard to make out.

One side of the blade I can see:
Side1> K55K (backwards 'k' for the last digit)
Side1> Solingen

Side2> HY Ka ????? hard to see
Side2> & ?????
Side2> Germany
Side2> Stainless

I don't know about that particular knife, but it could have been made by HY Kaufmann & Sons, from Solingen in Germany.

Edit: found some information on the company on a few other forums. It existed from 1856 to 1995. K55K is one of their brands, an other brand of theirs is Mercator. The original German name is Heinrich Kaufmann & Söhne.
