We cleaned out my late Dad's house a few years back and there were a few old pocket knives. I finally took them out to look at the other day and was intrigued by their condition.
My grandfather was a machinist and had come here from Rumania in 1916. He loved knives and sharp knives especially. You could shave with the butter knives in his house. He had, also, made a knife or two and I remember a carving knife with aluminum handles he had made. The little pocketknives are all very sharp and show that they were users. I'm thinking one or two may have come over with him, just not sure.
Just thought I'd share a couple.
