The only one I know about is the Western. Western was a sub knife company whose knives were produced by Camillus. I had an old western. Didn't have it for long, but it was solid.

I've done a repair job on a knife identical to the "wildcat" before...the handle is prone to rotation since the hole drilled for the tang is way over-sized. Just be careful with it, since it's very difficult to re-tighten it. I ended up making braces to fill the gap.

That's incorrect.Western was a very old knife company in Boulder Co.It was a split off from early Case. They were very high quality knives with many different patterns.Slip joints, lockbacks, straight blades ect. They moved to Longmont ,Co. in the mid 70's and unfortunatly went out of business and sold out to Crossman i think.Since then the name has bounced around and ended up with Camillus.Great group of knives there.Id say the big German has the best value, but the Western is an original.
