Old Kukri

Nice! I sold all of mine quite a few years ago because I had no real use for them, but I must confess that I miss having them.

Gorgeous old blade and well done on the sheath!

I have a soft spot for the old leaf shaped blades even if I tend to gravitated toward a khuk with a choppier profile for use.

It's extremely sharp, despite a couple of tiny dings in the edge. I use it for chopping kindling :)

I'm in the "Never had one but whenever I saw one I think about buying one" boat, but I have no use either. Then again I have no use for a FS Dagger either :D

I “have no use for” a dozen folders but I still have them.

I have my first Kukri en route from Nepal right now. Not sure what to expect exactly. Years ago when I was more active in knife forums you couldn’t be online without someone beating it into your head that the kukri is the ultimate knife. That seems to have died down a bit.

Well fad or no fad in the west, the khukuri has been a pretty proven design over a couple millennia;)

I don't think they are the be all, and all, but you can do much much worse for a survival blade. But I may be biased. I've got over 50 of them:D

Nice looking old khukri there.
I'm not really into them, but thats just because I have no need for one.

Yeah, we’ll see if I find it more useful than a machete. Machetes are my jam.

About 25 years ago, there was a very nice, old Kukri at a flea market for about $25. Not a tourist piece, but I passed. A little too bent for my taste. More of a head-hacking combat knife to my way of thinking.
