Old MKT Slim Midi vs New MKT Slim Midi

I previously had the old style Slim Midi on phosphor bronze washers and old pivot style and loved the size, ergonomics and blade profile. My only complaints were opening and closing it.

I know it wasn't meant to be a fidgety knife, but I was not able to open it with a flick. Also, the lock bar was really difficult to access and disengage.

Can anyone who has had both provide feedback on the action on bearings and new hardware? I'm thinking of trying one again.

Haven’t owned both types, I just got one off the exchange here with a June 2021 born on date; it is incredibly smooth! I agree that the lockbar access leaves something to be desired, but opening via “spidey flick,” fuller, or stop pins is very smooth and easy. I was really taken back compared to the other MKT’s I own as to how slim and pocketable it is.
I think it is an excellent carry piece.

Great info! If the MKT show side scale had a small cutout/relief similar to the CRK in your picture, it would be really help.
