I'm holding two Buck 110 knives, one from the 70's and the new 50th Anniversary.
The new knife feels much better!
The corners on the 50th Anniversary are rounded the the knife just feels lighter in the hand.
The leather sheath on the new Buck is every bit as well made.
Some things get better with age, This new Buck is better from the start....

Do you feel it feels better because of the radiused scales?

Welcome to the Forum.

I like the solid brass frame of the older models in comparison to the sintered frames of today. As far as just raw component makeup and not style/design

Yes the older 110 is more "Block shaped" as opposed to the "radius" handle of the Anniversary model.
I don't think the metal process makes any difference in looks or strength of a knife.

I agree with strength, but the looks are different. I like the fuller richer color of the early models, either polished or slightly patina'd and definitely prefer the macassar ebony scales to the obeechee dymondwood scales. Dont get me wrong, love the newer models and of my 30 some 110s, they are split about down the middle. Also like the 440c as compared to the 420hc blades. I primarily carry a circa '78 2dot when carrying a 110. Finger groove radiused scale definitely is most comfortable in my hand. In the end, as long as I have a 110 I'm satisfied:D

I also like the looks of the Nickel Silver frames better than the brass... But I buy either one...

There all good.. Buy what you like...:thumbup::thumbup:

Tuco Tom, welcome to the Buck forum. I like the old Buck 110/112 models, but I like better the radius edge on the newer Buck's too - feels better in the hand to me. OH

I agree that the new ones feel much better in the hand because I know somebody that carries an old school 110 from the late 60s and the brass bolsters are flat and square shaped, and then after that I compared my 2014 Buck 110 and the handle is much more comfortable.
