Old/New Minandi question

I have an old nail nick style Minandi but prefer the new clip style. Has anyone used a new clip on an old clip style knife? I ordered the new clip but it doesn't work as the old style female end does not have a way to tighten it?

I am by no means an expert on any CRK knife least of all the Mnandi.. but I believe I have read somewhere that the clips are not compatible. Hopefully someone with much more experience can chime in.

Don't know how I missed this thread ..... especially a Mnandi related one!! The clips themselves are interchangeable. You just need the proper screw sets. The old one requires the screw and barrel nut. The new one, just a hex head barrel nut. If you just ordered the clip, you will need to see if you can get the appropriate attachment hardware from CRK.

I just checked some online sources and some of the "new" style replacement clips (maybe all) come with the pin (the hex head barrel nut) ... so you may be good to go. PM me if you need sources.

I ordered a clip from Reeves and it did not come with the barrel nut.
I'll reach out to them.
