Hi,

I have an account here since a few years but didn’t took time to really dive in this forum.

I’m French and I’ll try to be understood as much as possible. Please excuse me if I scratch your language.

I build knives on my spare time, mostly forlders and I particularly appreciate traditional slipjoints. So I guess this forum will be the place to share and post questions about that particular type of knives.

Hereunder an overview of my work. Hope you’ll like it.

Hello G-M and welcome back to the forum! Do you some beautiful work!

Don't worry about scratching our language. I'm born and raised in the US (46 years old) and I scratch our language everyday. :D

Welcome! If you think you scratch English, you should hear my French. There is a "traditional knives" forum, you might find it more to your liking. Enjoy!

G-M those are some fine looking knives!

Welcome to the forum and don't worry about the language barrier!

Welcome to the forums, G-M!

You do some very beautiful work, sir. My hat is off to you. I especially love the knife in the fifth pic. Looks like perfection in clean, elegant simplicity.

I'd be interested to know more about the 90MCV8 steel you are using. In any case you have an artists eye for design. The second to last picture being a prime example of this. The Thuya on the second page of your website is also incredibly fine.

Thanks. In fact I'm not sure this is thuya now. But it's one of the most stable wood I've worked with.

90MCV8 is O2. Easy to heat treat and with fine grain. I just buy two other steel that are one step higher I'm sure. 125SC witch is a super clean steel with 1,25% of C, an 115W8 witch is a beast for edge retention. I'm excited like a child before Christmas :D

Hi guys,

My last one, a kind of neo slipjoint.
Blade is 1.2442(115w8)
Liners, pins and lanyard tube are titanium.
Scales are brass.
Roller is 115CrV3 heat treated.
The shield might be the only one in the world made of pure air :D

Tried to parkerize the blade but it didn't worked well.
This one is for my pocket to validate the system.
It acts like a half stop slipjoint.

Hope you'll like it.
