Postman made a very lucky Wrangler (Wolfgang) today! :D

Parcel contained:

Hen + Rooster Bertram marked stag scaled slippie
Closed 10,2 cm, (~ 4") total 18,3 cm, (~7.2") blade tip to bolsters 8,4 cm (~3.3") cutting edge 7,4 cm (~2.9")
Very slim Klaas (Kissing Cranes) stiletto style lockback folder marked R. Klaas 155th Anniversary. Mother of pearl scales.
Closed 9,2 cm (~3.6") total 17,2 cm, (~6.8") blade 8 cm, (~3.15") cutting edge 7,2 cm (~2.8")blade height 0,8 cm (.3") only.

Next a handmade, (maker unknown) over 100 years old hunting knife, semi integral 1075? carbon steel, rehandled by german Christian Greb with some very nice and very old stag. (Was told the stag should have a similar age to the blade but don`t know for sure?);)

I very much love that stag hunter.
Length 22,6 cm, (~8.9") handle 10,5 cm,(~4.1") cutting edge 10,7 cm (~4.2")

Thanks, guys!

Yes, that`s a german made traditional hunter style called "Nicker".
Got it from the guy who rehandled it, here in Germany. :)

Fantastic stag Wolfgang, very eye catching..And that pearl is downright luminous.

Thanks, sunburst! :D

Yes the MOP was pretty nice but I decided that the whole style of that skinny "stiletto style" thing was not my cup of tea. :grumpy::) (MOP in general isn`t my thing. I prefer wood, horn, stag or bone.))
Just sent it back to the previous owner today.
The others are still besides me. ;):D

Wolfgang,
Bought myself the same type of knife (closed 12 cm) but with olive wood scales in Trier last week. Never seen this model with these beautiful stag scales, do they still make it (if so, any idea where they sell it ?) ?

Wow! Those are all great...but that stag hunter! Extraordinary!

Congratulations and enjoy them!

Sorry paragraaf,

don`t know about that. The seller told me he bought it at Klaas company.:D He lives in Solingen, that`s why he snatches some bargains from time to time. :D

BTW I`ll try to visit your knife show in Gembloux next weekend!

Wolfgang,

I can't go to Gembloux. Anyway, I 'm out of 'knifemoney' because I had to order two Hartkopfs at Rödter-Messer ;).
