  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Old or fake Endura?

It's legit. It was made pre 98.

Some like that design the best. It has a ponty tip and the clip is easier on the palm. My girl has one that's lost the tip and clip, but still has a good lock up. Got it for $5 :)

That was the knife that got me hooked on Spyderco! Tip so thin you could poke a needle eye though.

Mine was made in 91 or 92 as I bought it in 92. It is like that except the markings say G-2 for the steel ( Gin 1 steel). Is this knife coming from later than mine when they went to Aus 8 for a short time? The Blade seems unpolished compared to mine. My old one has scratches but is still brighter. Much brighter, grinds seem cleaner too?

Something about it looks wrong to me, wrong meaning "different" most likely. I don't know of counterfeits from that era.

It looks legit to me but it's tang stamps are different than my Delica from the same time. Mine has SPYDERCO over AUS-8A Stainless on the front tang and Seki City over JAPAN on the other side.

Oh man! The knife that introduced me to higher quality knives!

Thanks for the throwback photos. Very unusual to find one not missing the tip and the clip.

Yours being aus8 denotes later build. Quite possible for tang stamps to be different. I'm not expert though.

Mine was a SE bought in 1990 soon after they were first marketed. I carried it for years and wore and sharpened away the serrations. I still have it. Looks the worse for wear but it's still tight as it was when new. I still like it better than the later model I bought but not as much as the current model.
