Perhaps inspired by some of carl's stories or the rare photo here and there on the forum, i have become very interested in seeing knives that have blades that have been worn down skinny over years and years or sharpening. I would love to see some pictures of any knives you may have that are heavily worn from good old everyday use and particularly those with thinning blades or blades that may have been broken and reground. Also i HAVE looked at plenty of other threads and would much more apreciate posts and responses than redirecting to another thread i have already read through ( i've come to frequent this forum maybe more than I am proud of) thank you in advance for any contributions lets see em!

Here is an Ulster that has been well loved

Thank you Dave. I appreciate the comment.

I found it that way in an old antique store, Nutty. It is a well made little bugger

Does this old J. A. Henckells count? The pic was taken before cleaning and sharping...

I believe it was one a penblade...

Think this 1939 British Army clasp knife has certainly been a user :)

Big old Wade and Butcher (circa 1920) would be one of my most worn blades..It is very comfortable in hand... FES

This Case 62024 ½ came to me with both blades pretty worn, but still with a lot of life in them.

It's not just the blades that are worn on the Böker 493. The imprint on one of the bolsters is worn considerably more than the other, right where you place your thumb when using the knife.

front side with thumb-worn imprint:

The Camillus equal end has blades that are worn from use (and pitted from either age or misuse).

Looks to me both from the location of the nail nicks relative the blade ends, and the amount of space in the frame open at blade ends, that these blades have been shortened by use as well.

Thanks Jack. I like this one too, even though barlow is not one of my favorite patterns. The old bone on this one really shines in the sunlight.

These are the most used in my accumulation.

First a 494 Boker Barlow with sheepsfoot main:

Next up is a Camillus Easy Open jack:

Both of those knives were owned by folks that used them a lot, but didn't seem to understand "oil the joints" as the springs are worn and pulls are soft. They still work. The Boker had so much rust in the joints when I got it, it took me a good while of soaking and wiggling to get the blades freed up so I could get them open.

Next is my Dad's 34OT that was the last knife he bought before he passed away, but he had it long enough to put his trademark broken tip on it.
But, he did keep it pretty clean. I like this knife a lot. It was the one I was going to show in one of the give aways last year. Absent mindedness kept me from doing so. Anyway, the 34OT is a great little stockman if you like smaller stockman knives.

Lastly is a 194OT that I bought many years ago and gave to a secretary at the office where I worked. About 8 years later, when I went back to work there, the current secretary gave it back to me. I carried this think lots of times; it's probably be my every day carry if it wasn't for the temptations for new knives here in this forum.
