Old Physics - How about this for your Silent Knight???

Jamie and I were discussing sheath options for the Silent Knight, and I was going to send him some photos --- thought we might as well post them here for anyone else interested...

Jamie's custom SK (bequeathed to me) is a bit longer, but something like this would work. I suggest a dundee rig --- that blade is just too long to strap to your leg (unless you are MikeH...)

I worked on these sheaths while you Hogs were at Blade Saturday evening and Sunday (don't you feel sorry for me?) Forgive the Rat content ;)

Since you have a professional like Dwayne doing your sheath, get him to carve a celtic cross, or something artistic like that. Then throw it over your shoulder, put a Meaner on your hip, get out into the woods, AND USE THAT SUCKER :D

Wow! That looks ... just perfect!

Fortunately, my daughter is an artist and can perhaps suggest a little something for embellishment (although I'd never say no to a Celtic Cross).

Don't worry, Xaman. This SK will definitely be used! :D

when you hit it just right (at the sweet spot), oh it chops like a dream!

and none of that dreaded SH Busse pinky to worry about...

That is a awesome sheath for the silent knight!

BTW, OP's SK score at Blade08 is ridiculous cool :cool::cool:

Yeah, he's thinking about selling it to me cheap...

Hahaha....NOT!

I highly doubt it because I hear that he nearly killed himself lunging in front of Jaxx to score that bad boy ;)

What can I say?

It was an involuntary reaction ... like breathing ... at least, for a Busse Addict. :D

Besides, my SK is purtier than Xaman's. Very slightly. ;)

Thats awesome work there bro. You're really a master. I was honored to meet you at blade!

Dang it, I wish I could have been there to see that

Jamie's gotta little spring in his step, eh...

Actually it is not his yet...and all who know - I have an affinity for swords. "Edge of Knight" is a grand masterpiece and I wear it at the Ren Faires.

Really? I heard he had just fallen down from sheer exhaustion, you know those old guys just don't have the stamina, and happened to fall on the card. :D

I witnessed the scrum for the Silent Knight tag. OP did have some spring in his step, the key word being "did", he hurt himself going after that thing.

But it's not his yet? I hope he gets to keep it. I would love to help him break it in (if we both make it to Blade next year). I don't think I would have the guts to use a Silent Knight if I owned it.

Xaman. those are great sheaths. you did an amazing job. cool blade and awsome sheaths

Thanks for the insight Hogwash, man this story is getting better all the time...

How about it Jamie, we need a play-by-play on this one --- slow motion replay please!

Thanks for the compliments on the sheaths, they look better from a distance than up close ;) BUT, they're quite functional and strong, and they will get used

I guess I didn't know you made sheaths:confused:

Those look great!

Yea, OP lulls us with the old talk. He's not that old!... just gets us to thinking that way so we won't be prepared for his quickness at the trough!

I'm telling you guys, it is NEVER wise to underestimate the determination of the elder hogs! :) Nice score, OP, and I enjoyed getting to handle it as well!! And I think Eli has a perfect, beautiful sheathing solution for it! Nice work, Eli!
