This hike is a old train track about 100 years old. The ground looked like this for most of the time.

Great photos. There is a rail trail right in front of where I live it is well groomed with several tunels , one is about 1/3 of a mile long and has a curve in it so you can't see either end for a while.

Theres alot of people for about 2 miles to the second tunnel. Maybe 1 pair of people went to tunnel 3, but us three went past tunnel three for another mile and a half or so and thats where it gets REALLY dangerous!!

A loose boulder almost hit taylor (three feet or so wide...) I almost slid down a a gravel hill side. (not life threatening but could get scratched up) The scariest thing, was there was this part we had to slidedown a hill on your butt, once you started sliding there was no stopping till the end. The scary part was if you lid to the right your dandy, to the left you got a 250ft vertical drop onto rocks! We didn't noticem how dangerouse what we just did was, till we headed back to it...

I say no more than 100 people been there in se=ince those trail conditions, becuse the trail shanges all the time.

That trail looks awesome! I don't know if I would have the guts to cross the log. Looks scary.

I've done a few dangerous hikes in my day, but it looks like you found a few real good spots. That bridge looks really interesting. I'd cross it, but wouldn't blame somebody if they didn't want to.

Interesting hike. The walk across the bridge reminds me of the time I crossed a shaft deep inside a mine by walking tightrope style across some old mine car rail that was still hanging over it.

Those tracks look like they have interesting construction, with the wood set into the ground. Were the rails originally just sheet steel or iron on top of the wood? It looks like it's too narrow even for a narrow gauge.

Its was iron, on top of wood.
