Old School and Spear Vala.

Picked up a Spear Vala. Amazing. My youngest son calls it a Legend of Zelda sword.

I have a similar blade from the time when the tooled sheaths were available from HI. I'd guess around 00-01.

The older has thicker side for chopping and a thinner for slicing. Can't remember much more about it. Made by KNN. (Hope these photos uploaded)

Heber tells me it's a HI Smatchet. After our texts back and forth We aren't sure. Been too long. Maybe someone else remembers.

Cool, I dig the spear point one. Hair popping sharp, that bowie style blade profile would be pretty nice.

I'd seen the newer one with the straight handle, but I'd never seen the old curved handle style. I rather like it. Wouldn't mind owning one.

I don't know for sure but I tend to agree with Heber, I think it's an early Smatchet. I'd love to have one just like it. I'm kind of feeling like a glutton for all things HI, Sharp and Pointy.

Very cool! Love the skull cracker! Sure would be khul to see them Smatchets come back!
I have a modern Giant SV and a copy of a very, very,very old one
