the shsj le has arrived and im very happy,my first one!!! put up some comparison shots.this baby is beefier than the new le and cg boss jack. feels great in hand and the handle along with the thicker stock makes for a better grip imo.

ahhh, so you got that huh?;)

If so, Im gonna say it would of went for more had it been up for longer than a day, that and the edge didnt look so hot imo.

COngrats, that was a helluva decent deal, had he posted it for 7 days instead of 1 it would of got so much more exposure and certainly went for much more. When I saw it sell at that price, you were the first person to come to mind for some odd reason. I considered jumpin, and had I I too would of planned to send it to busse if it was too rough, I just couldnt justify another SJ 2 days before knob. Post pics once it arrives please.

i will definetly post some pics when it arrives:thumbup:this will be my first shsj, cant wait!!

My personal opinion -- no, the advent of the new version did not hurt the value of the original.

They ain't the same knife.

thanks oldphysics,,i always appreciate the opinion of a elder hog:thumbup: [no offense ment with the elder thing:D]

It depends entirely on how you want to sell it. You can get fast cash out of it by pricing it near the current LE offering price, or you could let it ride on the market and potentially get the higher range of 900ish for it. It really does depend on how long your willing to wait.

Good point J. As we have seen from the BOSS Jack & BOSS Jack LE, the seemingly subtle difference between a saber grind and full convex grind make the two COMPLETELY different knives. Congrats on your score RD!

maniacal pete,,its something i won off a certin auction site, the word shall not be uttered here:rolleyes:.
i was wondering if i got a good deal or not..i thinlk i did:thumbup:

thanks resinguy!!!! i always hunt for deals over there and have been pretty lucky:cool::thumbup:

The edge does look a bit scary...

Good price though.

the edge is actually pretty nice,no damage at all just scratched up. the previous owner used a stone or a ceramic on the convex edge insted of stropping it.nothing a quick trip to busse couldnt take care of or me with just a little work.im very happy!!!

Nice knife and a nice set you have going with the other two. Really sweet. I find that it doesn't really matter much as long as you like it.
