I have noticed a few "old" Schrade Double Eagles showing up, but they claim to be made in china. One in question is a stainless melon knife with small fork. Suppose to have been made before Schrade went under. Anyone know the story on these? Looks like a neat knife.

Thanks

One of the better informed members will come along to say for sure, but in the mean time I know there were a few "real" Schrade's made in China. But the only two I was aware of were the Badger (some from Ireland, some from China), and those ugly Imperial lockbacks (both sources also).

Schrade, was involved with that particular knife the last few years they were buying parts and usually assembling here ( like with the Schrade tools ). I know that knife if you get it is a nice tool. I had a friend who had 300 he wanted to get rid of. He wanted to much money he wanted 300 dollars for them all still for one just to have it I might go 5 or ten. I believe Schrade was stuck with a lot of them. So you should be able to get one. LT
