Hello all. John T. here--old dog but new kid on the block--I have inherited an ole Schrade knife. Tang shows Schrade cut. co. Walden, NY. I have searched the knife carefully with a "maggot frying" glass and can find no other marks. The handles are missing and that is part of the problem with the knife. The handles would originally have swiveled on the blade pins to turn the blades out to the open position. The blades are on each end of the knife, pen blade type . one small, one larger. At present I have paper clips thru the pins to turn the blades out. Blades are carbon steel, tight in the liners, "walk and talk" excellently. Has any one seen a knife like I have described? I am sorry but at this time have no way to post pictures but I could send pics via my phone. Knife is just over 3" long closed, little over 6" long with both blades out. long blade just under 2" and the short blade is just under 1 1/2 " long. Liner to liner thickness is approx, 5/16 ths wide. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks John T.:)

It sounds like what is called a ring opener pen knife. Canal Street made a few as forum knives for us back in 2006. Is the Schrade Cut Co. stamp straight or arched? Arched would indicate pre-Depression era, straight would indicate 1936-1945 if I remember rightly.
