Old Sebenza Images

Thank you Gary for the scans. When the style chaged did the blade steel go from ATS-34 to BG-42?

Around the time the style changed the blade went from ATS-34 to BG42. I say around because there was a period of time when the new profiles were being made in ATS-34.

I had an older small Sebenza, long time ago, traded it to Matt Conable, of the William Henry fame, but the trade was while he worked with David Boye, his father in-law. I believe that StJames has a small older style, it's similar in form to the large older style.

Did they make the "old style" in BG-42? I was told this was so and bought one. I do like the BG-42 but prefer the "old style" grip. Thanks James and St.James!

Fish, glad to hear you got the knife. Nice to know it has a good home

That's the sucker! Old handle, new steel, no clip, why did I sell that again?

Enjoy her, Fish, she is sweet!

Nice picture, David.
Is it just me or does anyone else prefer to new handle style to the old one?
Oh I like the old style well enough, but I like the looks and feel of the newer one better.

Having used both, I would go with the new profile for sure. A definite improvement.
