old sebenza on feebay...when good goes bad

That was a nice P Sebenza but not any more unfortunately.

The clip looks more like a BM clip or just one of those generic 3 screw
ones from Knife kits or something, not that it makes much difference :p

yeah i thought it was a bm but it had no engraving so then i thought an emerson clip... I could'nt even imagine doing that if you wanted a clip on that knife and wanted it tip down i've seen a aftermarket that goes under the pivot screw. wtf is wrong with some people

well, i know the owner of l.a. guns, and have purchased many a knife and gun from him.

he is a stand up guy, and would not intentionally misrepresent anything. the sebenza is almost certainly a consignment item, and the description may be that of the owner.

the clip looks poor because we know how the knife should look. and i dont see anything to indicate the clip is a prototype of some sort.

I've got no gripe with the guy selling the knife...just what happend to the knife. he's trying to get more than it's worth in currant condition & I just hope the guy didn't pay too much in the first place.

it's sad to see what some people will do...the only fate worse for this knife now would be if that joke noss bought it :)

All collector value is gone, Its a $300.00 To $350.00 user now IMO

Here's one of my 15 year P-Models, The dark spot on the back is a reflection

Riskster....leave it to you to prop up the thread with a quality knife pic. That thing's nice.

btw - get a new towel

The ad is also incorrect in calling it handmade. It is a P marked Sebenza which stands for Production. It is NOT a "handmade" version as the add states.

If it was a handmade, it would be marked "H".

Also pretty sure that Sebenzas with just a P are later than the ones marked with P and a number, such as this one (P138) that I had before I traded it for an Umnum:

The asking price, even before the ugly aftermarket clip modification, is pretty high and the ad, regardless of who's fault it is, is misleading.

its not the clip. its the holes that ruin it for me.

you can probably get a replacement frame for a new one, but thats not the case for the older ones, i'm guessing.

so how would you discount the price in that case to make it fair?

i'm guessing the holes could be marketed as 'damage' to be fair, so its half price?
