Hello, kind of new over here but carried 110's most of my life till I became a maker.Anyways, I wanted to get some opinions on an old sheath design of mine as I am also a sheathmaker.A customer spotted this picture and said I should start making these again. What do you think? This one is for a 112 and is suede lined. The new model would not use rivets as I don't use them anymore. Thanks for your help.Dave:)

Dave, JMHO...an interesting idea there, however not my everyday cup of tea. I think a sheath needs to be able to hold the knife secure and protect it...looks to me that that sheath would not do either.

I'd worry about the knife slipping out the opening if I were somewhere where I needed to crawl and roll around and knife could get scratched up.

I wear that to a BBQ in a heartbeat:D ;) :D. Preston

Thanks for your reply. Actually it held the knife very well due to the molding and was nice and snug for drawing .But I agree, it is hardly a field sheath, more of a "Sunday dress sheath" for showing off that custom job. Thanks again.Dave:)

I like the sound of the suede lined and no rivets!
But the hole I would prefer to be smaller!
looks really neat with the fancy 112 in it, but I like a little more protection on my sheaths.
