Microtech old Socom -> handle screws

Hello,

Is there any information when Microtech changed the handle construction?:
Screws from both sides to only one side

I just saw a picture from a Socom (not Elite) with production date stamp 07/2002 on the blade (and marked with 154-CM steel) and with the very old construction: Screws on from both sides.

Can that be original or is it possible that somebody once assembled an old blade in a newer handle?

I know that the 2006 models had screws on only one side. My 97 model had screws on both sides, but curiously the mini socom from 98 has the screws on only one side.

That fits with my Socom from 03/99 which has screws on only one side.
Because of that I'm curious about the model from 2002.
Another idea: The old blade had a defect and the knife was sent to Microtech and it got a new blade - from the current production?

It's not that. The newer models have totally different blade dimensions and use bearings.

I think Microtech probably just changed the way they were making them a few times.
 
No I ment they changed the blade in 2002 - the current models / blades won't fit of course.

When did Microtech change from Socom to Socom Elite?
I thought in 2002 there was only the Elite produced
 
Did someone disassembly an (very) old Socom which has screws from both sides?
Are the screws on the back sleeves for the front screws or just additional screws? (Pictures?)
