Hello,

I have an old Spyderco, maybe Delica, with a clip that that was made out of the handle. Yes the clip seems to be literally made out of the stainless steel handle (there is a depression where the metal came from.)

With the edge down and point facing to the right the clip is on that side. On the clip is stamped, "US and Foreign Pats." And on that side the knife blade is stamped, "SEKI-JAPAN.

Also on that side are four 'revets'. One it seems is the pivot, and the other three near the back and top.

The other side of the blade has 'SPYDERCO' stamped.

Any idea what this knife is?

Thanks!

I still have a lot of admiration for many of the original Stainless handled Spyders. Those models are truly what launched Spyderco into the powerhouse company they have become.

I got my very first Spyderco folder in the Spring of 1995. It was a MARINER model in full SE with GIN-1 blade steel. Since then I've probably owned close to a dozen of the stainless handled Spyderco models over the years. Now for an all metal handle I'll admit that I like "Titanium" better than I do the stainless handles. But you sure get your money's worth with Spyderco's stainless handled folders.

They seem to be under appreciated nowadays with all of the plastic things nowadays, great for me, I have picked up a few for cheap. I am from the metal generation, not the plastic, not against it but not for me mostly. Aluminum on this recent find.
