old steiner binocs

hey guys,I found some old steiner armored 7x50 binocs for a song but I've never used binocs like these before,are you supposed to adjust both eyepieces simultaniously for focus?they seem to have an extremely wide range(different distances in focus at the same time)only one scratch way out at the edge of FOV.any info about these appreciated.

PermaFocus, select an object, close one eye, focus other eyepiece. Switch eyes & repeat with other eye. No matter what you look at, should be in focus. Hope this helps
