Hey everyone, Merry Christmas!
So,
I traded into another BK9 recently, and was pleasantly greeted with a Camillus BK9 with no clip point. It looks factory, has the coating and the length is good. I have owned 5 or 6 Camillus BK9's over the years, and this is all correct except the tip....
I have never seen a Camillus with out the clip point. So to be clear, if you look at the knife laying on the table, the profile looks like any other BK9,
The tip just doesn't have grinds on the top, just a flat spine all the way to the tip.
It makes for a heavy tipped knife, I like it a lot.

PICS, yeah I know, give me a day, my camera is messed up at this juncture.....and my camera is from a by gone era.
anyone know about this, is it a junker or a keeper.
I will get you all some images ASAP and in the mean time, maybe a Becker Scholar will chime in and let me know what the deal is....

Never seen one without the swedge, would love to see pics of it.

If you mean it curves continuously down to the point then I haven't seen one of these. If you mean it still has a slice taken out of it towards the tip but hasn't been swedged that is another matter altogether.

Here is a pic of a Camillus blank that I have seen. Does yours look like this?

Yeah, I was thinking one of the blanks that escaped when Camillus went under.

Just like this but ground, sharpened and coated from the factory...or we have someone with some skill coating blanks out there...
