I have a couple folders with Lightning Strike carbon fiber scales. While attractive, some people love it, some hate it. Mainly because as an EDC knife, it can be frustrating when bits of the copper wire in the carbon fiber work their way out and snag on a sweater or other loosely knit material. A while back, I saw some knives using the Thunderstorm Kevlar scales ... similar (with the wire strands) to the LSCF, but with a totally different look ... a look I liked. So, when I saw this Alan Davis linerlock available .... I "snagged" it (well, you know what I mean!). It is a great little folder for EDC. It's about the same size as a small Sebenza, but much more slender with slightly longer (3") blade of Chad Nichols Hailstorm pattern Damascus. On to the pics ....
Here's a comparison shot with a small Sebenza:
While the Kevlar suffers the same problem with wire stands working their way free .... it's still is a beautiful material and one I kind of like better than LSCF.
Hope you enjoy the pics.
