I just got mine today and am quite satisfied with it. This thing is ridiculously sturdy. The leather is thick and the sheath is bulky but it is surprisingly comfortable to wear despite its size. My large 21 fits perfectly with clip and lanyard. I have never handled the newer style sheath, but I went with the older one because of the larger belt loop. It also simply looks tougher and I wanted one that will survive a year in Afghanistan. For anyone looking for these I would definitely recommend it. Pictures coming soon

Great mini review and pics. I have both and for the large sebenza, this is by far and away the best sheath for it. Its super tough, just like the large sebenza. If you have a small sebenza, the other style would be best as this one is pretty much designed for the large sebenza rather than the small. I am sure this one will survive a year in Afghanistan, or anywhere for that matter.

Yes, NGK currently has 1 tan sheath in stock. I would imagine you could order directly from CRK as well.

Yeah, I need to get me one of these...they look real sturdy.

Pics when you get home from Afganistan:thumbup:

I've had my black one for years. It really has held up well. I like fact you can carry it horizontally or vertically!

I actually sold my sheath along with the large sebenza. These sheaths are no longer made. If you look enough you can find new ones for sale

I want one of these too(and a nylon crk pouch) for the horizontal carry. the belt opening for the current one is too small for all of my belts(horizontal). nice pics :)

I still use mind occasionally when I want a flap cover sheath for work or a lifters leather pancake. Put some shoe polish on it and it will last forever! Stay safe!
