I've gotten an interest in collecting these. It started with my Spyderco bone Kiwi, and the Santa Fe Stoneworks MOP version, and the AG Russell black pearl version, haha. Anyway, I just got a Case Limited Edition cabernet Peanut. It's a nice little knife, but Case edges have never been anything special. Who makes a knife like Case with a better edge? I'm trying to avoid carbon steel, so ones with SS blades are what I'm looking for.
Thanks

Eye Brand still makes high quality slip joints. I think overall quality is better than the modern Case stuff I have handled. The Eye Brand stag stock knife is a great little pocket companion. They can be had for around 35-40 bucks on the bay. I have one on the way to replace a long lost older version.

Two easy to find solutions.

1. Go to WalMart, pick up a Schrade Uncle Henry.
2. Go to WalMart, pick up for $20 a Buck 303T.

The Schrades have fake stag handles, with good quality fit and finish, and come in different patterns. Edges are not that hot.

The Buck is part of my EDC rotation. It is excellent! Pretty fake MOP handles, great heat treated 420HC steel(Paul Bos heat treat), superb fit and finish, and SHARP edges. Can't ever go wrong with a Buck.

Can't go wrong with either...I prefer the buck though.

I started collecting slip joints recently and I really like the Queen and Schatt & Morgan knives. The Queen are better users with D2 steel and the Schatt & Morgan are just fine looking. The S&M have good steel but not as tough as the D2 in Queen.
