I wanted to know if you guys have bought chris reeve fluorinated grease recently, but now it comes in a tube instead of a syringe. Some may say that the tube is more compact and easy to carry, but I tried cleaning my sebenza and it did not perform like the conventional syringe. the syringe gives you more control of using the grease. I just wanted to know your opinion.
thank you

So they switched them permanantly or do they now offer both? I much prefer the syringe and I hope theyll still have them available. Or I might have to stock up on some.

i was suppose to receive the grease with my sebenza order, but it was there >.< when i called to ask about it, they said they no longer have the syringes and they'd send me out the tube on monday. I prefer syringes as well like the ones that come with the tuff glide. i make just try to make-shift one if i don't fancy this tube.

Definitly much prefer the syringe because its just more precise with that needle like tip and you can use microscopic amounts. Ah well not something I'll lose sleep over.

We all loved the syringe but CRK’s vendor could no longer source them -not sure why. We waited for about a month to see if the situation would change (you may have noticed a lube shortage a bit ago) but it didn’t. In order to supply grease to customers we were forced to go with the tube. I’ve no idea if the syringe will come back but we would like it to. Just a note, the quantity is the same. It is just the container that has changed.

The syringe is definitely better. I use tubes like that for certain chores at work at it can get sloppy and messy. I will just squirt the grease into one of my syringes.

Wow, I'll definitely be saving and refilling my syringes. (I think I've got two full and one empty right now...)

i'm still waiting for my tube to come in, but if anyone has an extra syringe just lying about, i'd gladly buy it off ya, email me if interested :)

Im a dummy and pretty much destroyed a tube by trying to get every last bit of lube out. Oh well, I got one left so that will have to be my go to guy for a while I guess.

i need to pick some of this stuff up sooner or later :-/

I've opened several other liner- and frame-lock knives and re-lubed with the CRK grease. IMHO it's about the best lube going for that type of folder.

I cant find any dealers who sell them anymore. they disappeared pretty quick!

I'm selling my old syringe's for $50 now! :D

Kidding.....

I would prefer the syringe to the tube though. I have a few left, so I don't think I'm running out any time soon.

You can pick up syringes at any pharmacy. I use them for measurement of de-chlorinator for my fish tanks.
