I have found an old knife and it has the branding of old timer and the handle appears to be made of ivory. The blade itself is badly rusted and not in any good condition but I am curious about the ivory handles if they are genuine or not...I am emailing from Australia, any value?

G'Day Crocman and welcome. A photo will tell the story for us all. With an Old Timer "branding" it wont be ivory unless a rework which is highly unlikely. Does it have any numbers on tang <top part of blade near handle> Is it a stockman style 3 blade or does it just have the one blade.Highly unlikely a genuine old timer blade would be "badly rusted". Might be a white delrin handled old timer with worn off scrimshaw or one of the ones never scrimshawed...it might be a lot of things mate..we need more info to help you.Hoo Roo
