Hello and good afternoon all,

I recently purchased this: https://www.amazon.com/Old-Timer-2148OT-Copperhead-Folding/dp/B00TY4AV9S

Anyways...It's a great knife but it didn't have a clip and I really needed a clip on it so I bought this: https://www.amazon.com/Schrade-Pock...e+clip&qid=1556060505&s=sporting-goods&sr=1-1

Long story short...the knife is now disassembled and the screws are total crap and I broke the grips because they are not rubber all the way through. The screw that goes into the sleeve nuts is completely ground and won't unscrew and now the knife is useless. So I want to get different screws and maybe use paracord instead of the grips. My question is where can I find some of these screw/sleeve nut combinations or will anything from the hardware store suffice? Also, I saw some paracord on Amazon...what length of cord do you recommend? I don't want to buy too much. Any suggestions appreciated especially if you know of any replacement grips for this knife!

P.S. I don't want to buy a new knife and feel like throwing this one away would be a total waste considering blade is new and unused...

Unless you plan on changing it into a fixed blade, I don't think you can do a paracord handle. I suppose you could glue some on the outside or something, but that's probably not going to be very sturdy. In terms of where you can get hardware, check out Alpha Knife Supply.

I'd suggest posting some pictures of what you've got going on over in the Maintenance, Tinkering, and Embellishment forum, or ask a mod to move this thread there, and perhaps someone can give you some advice on how to get back to something useful. Good luck!
