Old Timer Question

Hello Everyone
I'm new here and am here to learn:). I recently saw an old timer (34ot) with the Schrade NY USA marking with what appeared to be saw cut bone handles. Would this have been some kind of limited edition? I'm sorry but I didn't get pictures.

probably. Schrade put out MANY variants which never got into the catalogs. SFO's (Special Factory Orders) purchased by large hardware chains or other purveyors were common.
