I have an Old Timer Trail Boss fixed blade. I've noticed that the blade feels a bit loose in the hilt. Not surprising, as it made of fairly soft rubber, but is it secure? Is the tang held in place by the brass-lined lanyard hole at the back of the hilt, or just stuck into the rubber hilt?

Walter,

The tang is held by the ferrule/lanyard hole construction. If there is some looseness, we'd like to take a look at the knife - and replace or repair. You can send it in to:

Imperial Schrade Corp.
c/o Repairs
7 Schrade Court
Ellenville, NY 12428

We always suggest the sender to insure the package in case it should get lost.

Also, don't forget to include your name and mailing address, as well as a phone number.

Thanks Tim. It's not pulling out. There's just some slight up and down play, which is not a problem by itself.

I once owned a similar knife (not one of yours) that pulled out when I used it for some light chopping.
