I happened into the hardware store today and was looking at the knife display by the register. I saw the Old Timer Trapper snugged in there and saw a weird brass nub on the end. I asked for a closer look and saw that there was a pick and tweezers.
How long has it been like that? I overlook a lot of things and had not paid much attention to the Old Timers. Has it alsways been that way?
I was curious enough to go ahead and buy it.

Hi,

There might have been a double bolstered version long ago, but For the 10+ years I've seen them, they've always had the steel toothpick/tweezer combo:).

P.S., There is a smaller 3 7/8 Trapper with double bolsters(both ends):).

HTH:D:).

I have just overlooked it, I guess.
I will admit that my interest in the trapper pattern is fairly new (past few months)
I wonder what else I have overlooked!:)

That's a nice knife. The tweezers are fairly useful, and it has Old Timer's 1095 carbon steel. They have the same model out with a saw blade instead of the spey, and stainless steel, that looks interesting, too.
