old trade axe with deer and R G initials

Hello,

I have what I believe is an authentic trade axe head from the late 1800's and was wondering if anyone is familiar with the stamp of a deer with the initials R on one side and G on other side of the deer. Anyone familiar with this and can enlighten me?
