I've just completed a search of the archived General Forum and Knife Testing Forum... no joy. Tried both MadDog and Turber. The thread I'm looking for is the one that had photos of the infamous notched tang of the poor performing ATAK.

Is this thread still around? Or have I simply looked in all the wrong places? Appreciate any help here.

Think I saw a link to the Article on the Mission Knives home page. Think its Missionknives.com and its under the articles section somewhere.
 
Mike, I've seen that. It is a re-print for the Jan 2000 issue of TO THE POINT (an e-zine published here on BFC but with only the single issue). It alludes to the test but no link to the giant thread that once existed.

I know its been a long time! Called Rob and wished him and Christine Happy Thanksgiving. Last time I tried your phone you were on the road.

My job was "militarized" by an 0-4/5 as part of a consolidation of units. But I've landed on my feet... I'm part of the "wing king's" staff now with the same paygrade. And yes, as commonly known, the B-1Bs from here are carrying the load for Enduring Freedom.

This place has become a bit overwhelming with so many members, so many forums, and so much to keep up with. I do drop in much more than folks might suspect given my infrequent posts.
