This knife has a swayback style handle (frame) & a near full hawkbill pruner blade style Fantastic swedge & crescent nail pull
It dates 1905 to 1920 to my knowledge & the stamp is legible, but I could not get it in a pic. It's genuine &old.
These were made with cocobolo & ebony & I feel that this is cocobolo.
It is 4" closed,7" opened up. The blade is 3" with a 2-5/8" cutting edge.
Steel pinched blster. Steel liners are bent a little, not too bad, strong & secure are the scales. Steel pins. There is a small worm hole on one scale. Scales have slight checks, but no major cracks, slight seperation from liners in some spots.. A real decent example. There is absolutely no pivot play on this knife. Firm snap with half stops.Spring is flush in all positions. The action on this knife is what custom slipjoint makers want to copy in a large folder with half stops! Its great
Light & not too big.For carry/use,or collection. You will need to put a good edge on it if you plan to use it.
One would search for & possibly purchase a few, before you "snagged" one like this. You'll never get a description like this, either
