Going through my stash of kitchen cutlery I stumbled on this venerable warhorse of a butcher knife from the I. Wilson company. Blade is 9.5" long. Distal tapered blade & tapered tang. Oak handles are a bit loose, but the edge gets crazy sharp. 😊

Nice to see a well-loved and used knife.

Looks like it still has lots of quartering capability left in it.
 
Given the stamps lack of a "made in England" or "ex-Sycamore Street" (post WW-II) that could actually be a 19th century knife. Most of the Wilson's you see are not.
