old wrench

just wondering; i know good files are suitable to make knives. QUESTION; are old ,good wrenches suitable to make knives? i'm thinkin the old industrial wrenches such as BILLINGS, PLOMB, WILLIAMS, ARMSTRONG...... thanks. paul

I've seen knives from a guy that used to forge one end of a wrench. don't know who but could ask the guy that had one or 2:thumbdn:

Rick Lowe (North Carolina) and Carl Rechstiener (Georgia) are two makers who come to mind that have made some unique looking blades using old wrenches. Both are great guys and make some fine knives.
